not to make my previous post so long, i decided to blog about what happened yesterday in a new post.

went to watch some chinese cultural performance at kerak ayer theatre (did i get the name right?). the first dance had snipets of the hongshan song! LOL! siming, who was somewhere picking up a phone call, rushed in when she heard the music and exclaimed,"is this what i am hearing?!" well, somewhere along that line. LOL!
there was another dance that was similar to huang hai zi. LOL! as in the steps only.
after the whole concert, the emcee said this "huang pi fu hei tou fa". the sec3 chinese dancers were like, "that sounds familiar!" HAHAHAHA! (laoshi says it all the time when we are practising huang hai zi.) lol!

I AM BACK FROM OBS! BACK TO CIVILISATION!

actually, it's not THAT bad. what i cannot stand is the toilets.
I MISSED MY HOUSE TOILETS! NICE AND CLEAN!
one of the toilets was actually flooded cos almost everyone went to bathe there and it stunk.

i was in CHENG HO watch with amelia, kelly, tingshan, ma ke, yanting, suxiang, linkai, xiang chuin, jie yuan, wai tiem, minne, jiang yin, jia li and NOON! (sorry noon >.<)
i hope i got all the names right. LOL!
and our instructor was KHEE MENG aka KIM!
our buddy watch was BATTUTU! actually, their actual name is battuta but their instructor called them battutu cos they were so gundu. LOL!

it was actually a rather good bonding time with my classmates in the same watch. and not everyone from my watch consisted of people from my class. only 7 people out of 15 are from my class. the others are from 303.

we helped xinni overcame her fear of heights! WHEE~

during the kayak capsizing activity, i saw a jellyfish which was bobbing super close to linkai's legs. so scary! but it was an eye-opener for me as i have never seen a jellyfish before. LOL!

on the third day of obs, we kayaked around pulau ubin. i was the person at the back so it was rather tough.

OH YES! i am NEVER EVER going back to jelutong (aka ants place). it's infested with ants who are hungry for your flesh. the ants there are unlike the ants that go after your sweets here in singapore. those ants bite your legs and hands and are super determined to survive no matter how hard you tried to flick, step or wash them off. therefore, our conclusion: the ants at home are losers compared to those at jelutong.
the ants were not the only bad thing about jelutong. there wasn't any shower and the water that came out from the tap in the toilet some 10mins walk from our campsite was BROWN. wonder where the water came from.
there was about more than 10 stray dogs there too! :/

fourth day, we trekked from jelutong to obs camp 2. yanting made a discovery! there was a BOY, a sec one BOY, who has the same name as her! HAHAHAHA! it was there on his class tee and when yanting saw it, she was pointing and saying "OMG!" it was rather hilarious cos nobody ever thought that yanting could be a guy's name. LOL!
when we got back to camp 2, we cheered! we were so happy to be back! LOL!
at night, we didn't want to bathe and kim forced us to bathe. lol! amelia, kelly, ma ke and i just went to wash our hair under the tap and change our clothes. tingshan went to bathe cos she had a butt infection. LOL!

fifth day! BACK TO SINGAPORE! but before that, we did jetty jump which was rather nice.

i slept from 7pm to 8am when i got back home. LOL!

sadly, i didn't get a tan! RAH! maybe a little, BUT STILL! :(
fiona got darker! and she was supposed to be fairer than me. LOL!

OH! during obs, it was raining, didn't get mosquito bites and runny nose.
AFTER obs, it was SUNNY, got about 5 MOSQUITO BITES and had a really RUNNY NOSE!
and to think i brought all my runny nose medication for nothing..
grrrr! what irony.
